As I sat in my Public Affairs Reporting class last semester, I was wondering about how journalists should interact with politicians. Is it right to call rake up dirt on politicians? How can we responsibly use our freedom of speech?

As our next presdiental election looms, I've noticed how much the media affects people's views. I see a need for the public to be more informed about the bias that exists in whatever media they may go to for their news.

Who does this project serve? This project is for aspring journalists, to guide them as they seek the good of the public. It is also for everyday citizens, to make them more aware of the way in which politics are reported on both traditional and new forms of media.

This project is also for responsible citizens, who want to stay in the know about their politicians. I understand that people want a perfect news source to turn to, but that is just not possible in this world. Hopefully people learn through this project that the best way to get all the facts is to watch and read and listen to everything and everyone you can.
